You finally decided on where you want to vacation this year.  At a Bed and Breakfast in Camden, Maine! The hard part is over.  Or is it?  Now you need to figure out where to stay!  Decisions…decisions!  You know that you want to stay at a bed and breakfast in Camden, but there are so many to choose from.  We belong to an association of 14 Bed and Breakfasts in town called Camden Premier Inns.   Within our association, you will find the same level of hospitality and professionalism amongst all of us, so any choice you make will be the right one.  But which one should you choose to stay at?  I will help you decide on where here!

Camden Windward House

Of course, I had to list ours first! We are a traditional bed and breakfast in Camden, Maine. With 9 rooms, we have something for everyone.  We are located within a 4-minute walk to Camden and the Harbor. You can leave your car behind while you explore all the area has to offer.

If you are looking to treat yourself, you can spend a few extra dollars for a larger room with a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, refrigerators and more. Want to save your money so that you can splurge elsewhere? We have two newly renovated economic rooms that are located on the third floor that are super cozy and are great if you are traveling alone!  We are family friendly, so we even have rooms if you want to bring the kids too.

Relax by the firepit nightly in the backyard!

With newly renovated outdoor gardens and deck, you can relax after a long day of sightseeing with a glass of wine by our fire pit while overlooking Mt. Battie and sitting under ambient lighting that changes with the season. And if the tranquil sound of babbling water soothes you, our vortex fountain, wine bottle fountain and rain catcher fountain will relax you in no time! And at our Camden, Maine Bed and Breakfast, relaxing music is always in the air!

If you love hiking, then you will love hiking in Camden, Maine! You can access over 30 miles of trails right from our backyard. There is no need to pay the fee to drive to the top! The picture below is taken right from our backyard. The street on the left can be accessed from our back driveway and will lead you to the Mt. Battie Trailhead.

Breakfast at Camden Windward House has something for everyone. Whether you are looking to indulge, need gluten-free options, or follow a vegan diet, we have you covered. One of the best parts about our bed and breakfast is that you get to choose what you want. We serve off of a menu daily and offer 5 choices with daily specials throughout the year. 

And if you love tea, you will be in heaven! We feature Twinings teas in our guest pantry that is open 24 hours. Coffee and hot chocolate, as well as some snacks, are available too!


Abigail’s - Comfortable Elegance

Located just steps from the center of town and the harbor, Abigail’s is conveniently close to all that Camden has to offer. Their guests are a short walk from fine dining, live performing arts, sailing, kayaking, and shopping.

Abigail’s has 4 guest rooms, each of substantial size and comfort. Each room is decorated in its own style, providing the classic feel of an 1830’s era Greek Revival while providing the convenience of modern amenities. They also serve a multi-course breakfast to their guests every morning.


A Little Dream - Romantic Escape

A romantic hideaway in Camden Maine’s Historic District, A Little Dream is set on 2 acres of lawns, with pretty tree-framed views of Penobscot Bay, Camden Harbor and the islands beyond.

Seven rooms, all with private baths, lush bedding, and linens, feature either a private deck, view or fireplace. All have special touches, duvets, spa-style robes, imported chocolates, and include an exquisite multi-course full breakfast.


Belmont Inn - Classic New England

Romantic and comfortably elegant, the Belmont Inn has been a welcoming home-away-from-home for travelers since the 1920s. The inn’s tastefully decorated 6 guest rooms each have its own unique character and offer the important modern amenities. From soft, fluffy towels and freshly ironed quality bed linens, to soft music, fresh flowers from the garden, a glass of wine on the porch and a full, made-from-scratch breakfast served on the lovely breakfast porch, the Belmont Inn offers treats for all the senses.

Blue Harbor House Inn - Quintessential New England Inn

Each guest room in the Inn has its own distinctive character. Many have original wide-plank wood floors and gas-log fireplaces and stoves. Guests are served a full gourmet breakfast each morning along with homemade cookies, coffee, and tea in the kitchen every afternoon and evening.


Captain Swift Inn - Inviting 1810 Getaway

Upscale yet casual, The Captain Swift Inn offers fine lodging, multi-course breakfasts, and many amenities. They are just a 4-minute walk to Camden’s harbor, shops, and restaurants.

The inn has 9 individually decorated guest bedrooms and luxury suites. Three sitting areas, an intimate dining room and outside decks and patio with fire pit provide opportunities for relaxation. Some other amenities include on-site massages, guest laptop with printer, plush robes, slippers, and locally made chocolates.


Elms of Camden - Historic Colonial

Elms of Camden is an authentic 1806 New England Colonial and a fine example of preservation and restoration. Their location offers an easy walk to the harbor, shops, restaurants, and activities in downtown Camden.

All guestrooms are individually decorated and feature Queen or King beds with custom linens and fine amenities. All rooms have a private bathroom with showers or a shower/tub combination. Select rooms have a jetted tub. Rooms have flat-screen televisions, secure Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning. Most rooms have a gas fireplace. 


Hawthorn Inn - Queen Anne Victorian

The Hawthorn Inn, just steps from downtown Camden, Maine, is an 1894 Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion.  Spacious guest rooms accommodating couples traveling alone or together, families or singles offer en-suite private baths, soaking or deep whirlpool tubs, private balconies and patios, and private fireplaces.

A complimentary 2-course breakfast is served daily indoors or outdoors, weather permitting, and includes alternate days of sweet or savory options.


Hartstone Inn - Culinary Destination

An enchanting hideaway in the heart of Camden village, this Mansard style Victorian built in 1835 offers a unique experience in pampered luxury. Each air-conditioned guest room combines carefully chosen furnishings and original artwork to create a mood of lavish comfort and romance.

timbercliffe cottage - captivating bay views

Timbercliffe Cottage is a classic New England retreat by-the-sea with an expansive 80' veranda and grand common rooms. The Inn is nestled on a private hillside above busy High Street affording serene and unique views.

Rooms and suites include private baths, luxury amenities with ocean or forest views. Relax in a claw foot tub or retire by a fireplace in one of their suites.

Wake up to a delicious multi-course breakfast served al fresco on the veranda, stone terrace or in the main dining room. A well-stocked butler's pantry offers a variety of coffees, teas, seltzer water and snacks throughout the day.
